Roars rang out in the night air, constant battles, all unnescisary. Aluri hated this, it has to end! Before it takes mother or Narda...,she thought. She had hidden with the other cubs, she heard the snarl of an outcast cubstealer, "why! Aren't you a
pretty one!"
"ALURI! RUN!" It was her mother, she opened an eyelid. Oh no! Her mother was tussling with a female twice her size. "Mother!" She cried, "Nameless won't be pleased...Shari! Take care of this thing!" The cubstealer yelled, and flung herself at Aluri's mother.
"Pssst! Aluri! It's me Narda!" She let out a sigh of releaf, thank goodness Narda's hear! "C'mon, that lioness is getting closer!" Together they made thier way toward a small part of dark lionesses, they had the pride's Cubs, thier job was to take them to the safecave and defend them with thier lives.
"Narda...w-what Cubs d-do they steal?", Aluri whispered. "Females mostly, so the Nameless lion can have his wicked way with them.", Narda whispered back.
Aluri gasped and stood bolt upright, "Y-you d-don't m-mean he'll f-force himself on m-me I-if I g-get t-taken?!" Narda pressed his face into her shoulder, "I would die before I let that happen to you..." He said honestly "Look out!" He yelled and shoved her aside. The Nameless lion! Alurk gagged as images filled her head. "Narda!"
The nameless lion tossed him aside."No! Leave her alone! Focus on me!", yelled Narda as he flung himself at Nameless's face. "Narda!" Her breath cought in her throught, her voice cracked,"Narda!". "Go! Please Aluri!" With her heart torn to rags, she ran as fast as she could. Tears streaming down her face.
"come! Let's go!" Her mother said.
"Mom...Narda..." She sobbed hard for a while. "Didn't see that coming eh?" A familiar voice under her said. "Nard-!?" She was suddenly far behind her mother, the lioness was back!" "Run! Aluri!"
She gave in and cried, for Narda, for mother. Her true love, taken. Her mother, taken. "Well aren't you a pretty thing? Yessi was Wright!" "No! Leave me alone!" She kicked and scratched but the Nameless lion was to strong.
She fell asleep in the place she dreaded. After a wile she awoke, there were five pairs of eyes looking at her, a nursiry! The sister on duty watched her,"hello little one." There were four Cubs with her, one newborn and the female. "Where's my mother? Where's Narda?" She demanded. "Who? Darling, your mother abandoned you! The Nameless Savior saved you from the battle!" The older lioness lectured. Rage filed what she said next: "No! He nearly killed Narda! His lioness tried to kill my mother! If I grow more he'll have his wicked way with me! I want to go home!" She broke into tears. "Aw, don't be scared! We were scared two when Shani told us that!" The young female said. There was a commotion outside, "Vitani, take Kovu,Nala,Siraba and Nuka to the safecave. You stay put! Or I'll get the Savior!" With that she walked off.
"What are your names?" Asked Aluri, "Vitani-the eldest." "By ten minutes! I'm Kovu-the heir." "Ha! As if! I'm Siraba! The best-looking!" "Nala, the kindest. This is Nuka, The Saviors Heir." She rose her voice again, I'm going to find what that's all about, if-if that's ok...please don't tell...I don't want to be...impurified before my time." Vitani asked: "impurified? Oh...sure if Siraba tells I'll beat the livin' day lights out of him!" "Thanks!" With that she whent off to find out what it was her mother was here! But she was at the end of the line!
She was cutting down all the defenses whith her will to save Aluri alone! "I won't leave my daughter at the hands of your male!", she roared with true passion. "No..."Aluri whispered. She raked a lionesses side while tearing at another's throught, then sent another screaming out of the cave. But then she tussled with the cub taker...shani. They rolled over and over, tumbling ever closer to the edge. Finally when the were a paw's length from the edge, Shani heaved...and pushed Aluri's mother...off the edge...
"No!" She screeched and ran forward. She could feel tears behind her eyes. A gasp whent up as she ran. Shani was sitting there with a dazed look. As soon as she saw Aluri she let out a relieved sigh. "It's ok dear, I'm fine." But her calm look faded to one of confusion as Aluri ran past her and looked over the clif...
Tears poured down her face as she saw her mothers broken body at the bottom of the cliff. "I hate you!" She whipped round and screeched at shani, "I hate you for bringing me here! I hate you for killing Narda! I hate you for lieing to the other Cubs! I hate you for killing mom! I hate you just for being on this side!" She sobbed as she ran down the cliff, obtaining many small cuts, she didn't care, all she wanted to do was get to her mother.
"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...if I had fought harder I would have broken free of that male...I'm so so sorry!" She cried and cried until she couldn't breathe, then cried some more. Her mother, Narda, who else would this pride take from her? "Now, now, don't cry." A voice said behind her.
"I'm going to take care of you from now on, I'm Erlarintala, but you can call me Auntie Tala." Aluri found herself following Tala. She remembered nothing else, she was too broken inside.
